Visa and eligibility requirements
签证申请
Student visa applications are submitted to the Australian High Commission, or the Embassy in your country. Applications can be made online.
学生签证(subclass 500)
- be enrolled to study a course in Australia
- hold Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) or be exempt
- be 6 years or older
- prove a welfare arrangement is in place if under 18 years
- hold an eligible substantive visa if applying from within Australia.
1.申请小学不低于6岁，申请中学不低于13岁并完成小学学业;
2. 获得offer缴纳学费后，学校提供入学确认信（CoE）；
3. 18周岁以下申请人必须有监护人（或监护机构）；
4. 18周岁以下申请人必须提供适当住宿和福利确认书CAAW；
5. 申请人需拥有OSHC海外留学生保险；
6. 申请人需要通过体检测试。
英文能力条件
中小学留学生需要提供Australian Education Assessment Services(AEAS) 测试成绩.
- 小学申请者，排名较前的私立学校可能需要面试，或4年级以上申请人需要提供AEAS成绩。公立学校一般直接入读；
- 中学申请者，私立学校根据AEAS和面试结果，会建议学生配几周语言课程。公立学校对于语言未达标的学生，基本是搭配20周以上的语言课。
申请学生是残疾人
Students with disability may need specialist disability provision or support to participate in education. The Department of Education assesses the need for specialist disability provision or support on a case-by-case basis prior to placement. Additional fees may apply.

Primary school students must live with a parent while they study in Perth.
中学阶段(13岁+)
Homestay
The homestay option is a popular choice and is available to students in Year 8 and above and is only available in the Perth metropolitan area.
Australian Homestay Network (AHN) will organise student homestay accommodation in Western Australia.A homestay student will feel safe and secure in a homestay environment. It is also a great way to improve conversational English and experience the Australian lifestyle.
AHN Homestay students are provided with:
- A supportive family environment to live in, including:
- a clean fully furnished room
- meals
- utilities
- 24/7 professional telephone support through AHN
- contents insurance for students and hosts through AHN.
Local Carer
The local carers option means you can nominate a host for your child. This option is available to students in Year 8 and above. The intended local carer host must register at AHN and identify themselves as nominated local carer when registering, stating on their registration profile the name of the student they wish to host. The local carer host must satisfy AHN’s selection process and background checks.

Secondary school students may live with a close family relative who is over the age of 21 years. 需要提交登记表到Department of Home Affairs.These regulations define a close family relative as a:
- a parent
- spouse
- de facto partner
- child
- brother or sister of the applicant
- step-child
- step-parent
- step-brother or step-sister of the applicant
- grandparent
- grandchild
- aunt
- uncle
- niece or nephew
- step-grandparent
- step-grandchild
- step-aunt
- step-uncle
- step-niece
- step-nephew
陪读签证(subcalss 590)
- 学生父母、法定监护人，或者超过21岁以上的亲属（需授权）；
- 学生年龄未满18岁（部分情况下可以超过18岁）；
- 有资金和能力为学生提供足够的住宿及其他照顾；
- 满足澳洲政府规定的健康/品行要求；
- 陪读签证持有期间不允许工作，需要和学生同时进入和离开澳洲；
Application process
2.Prepare welfare and living arrangement information
You will need to provide information on your welfare and living arrangements when you submit your application.

3.Prepare documents for application
Prepare the documents that need to be submitted along with your application. These include:
- the student’s most recent education results and transcripts (in English)
- a copy of their passport.

5. Accept the offer
If your application is successful, you will receive a letter of offer. This includes enrolment information about the school, year of enrolment, start date and tuition fees.
To accept the offer:
- a. sign and return the letter of offer
- b. pay the amount listed by the due date.
- c. meet any other conditions that have been listed.
When you have accepted the letter of offer and made the payment, we will review the welfare and living arrangements information you have provided in your application. You will be issued with a confirmation of enrolment. This confirms a place in a Western Australia Government school.
When you receive the confirmation of enrolment you will also receive the school details. You can then make an appointment with the school to complete the enrolment process.
A condition of enrolment is that you give authority for your personal information to be provided to the Australian Commonwealth Government and Western Australian state agencies, overseas student health cover providers, the Department of Training and Workforce Development, and the Department of Education.
7.Receive student visa and organise travel
Once your student visa is approved, it’s time to arrange travel to Western Australia. Students should arrive at least a few days before school starts. However, they must not arrive before the date listed on their letter of offer.

其他学杂费
Other fees may need to be paid to attend a Western Australian Government School. Examples include schoolbooks, excursions, school uniforms and other important items required for the student’s education. Fees for these items are paid directly to the school.
医疗保险
All student visa holders must hold Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their visa.
